3 Stars Too big for me
I really, really, really liked the idea of this helmet, and I was sad that I had to return it, but it was just way too big for me. I’m a 5′5″ female with a 54cm head, and so I ordered a small per their sizing instructions, but when I received it and tried it on, it was way too big. I emailed someone at SterlingTek to ask if returning it for a youth size would give me a smaller shell, sadly he advised they only have one shell size, the adjustment is made via the internal padding. Sorry… but I don’t want to look like a Blow Pop head. Now, my husband is 6′, and he bought this helmet in silver, and it fits his gi-normous head just fine. Personally, I think the shell is too big for a woman, and SterlingTek might want to consider offering more shell sizes. To give you an idea of what fit me well-I ended up buying an HJC youth L/XL helmet which fit me perfectly.
